Heavy-duty galvanized steel V-groove wheel for compatible sliding gates and track systems.
The current price is KSh 7,500. Confirm the number of wheels supplied and the required wheel size before ordering, especially when replacing parts on an existing gate.
Sliding gate wheels carry the gate and allow it to move along a matching ground track. This model uses a V-groove profile designed to follow a compatible V-shaped rail.
The stated load capacity is up to 500kg per caster when correctly installed. The actual number and capacity of wheels required depend on total gate weight, gate length, frame stiffness, track condition and load distribution.
The wheel uses double rolling bearings to support smoother, more stable movement. Correct alignment and a clean, straight track are still necessary to prevent drag, noise and uneven bearing wear.
The wheel and cold-rolled steel bracket have a galvanized finish for resistance to rust and corrosion. Outdoor gate hardware should still be inspected regularly, particularly where water, dust or road debris collects around the track.
A bottom wheel carries the gate’s weight on the ground track. A guide roller supports the gate upright near the top but should not carry its full weight. Many sliding gates need both components for stable movement.
The V-groove wheel must match the shape and dimensions of the installed rail. Confirm the wheel diameter, groove profile, bracket dimensions and mounting position before replacing an existing gate bearing wheel.
The quantity depends on the gate’s length, weight and frame design. Two correctly spaced wheels are common on smaller gates, while long or heavy gates may require a different support arrangement designed by the fabricator. Do not exceed the safe capacity of the gate frame, wheels or track.
Mount the wheels squarely beneath the gate so the load is shared evenly. The rail must be straight, level and securely fixed. After installation, move the gate manually through its full travel and correct any binding before connecting an automatic gate motor.
Common causes include damaged bearings, a bent or dirty rail, poor wheel alignment, corrosion, loose brackets or a gate frame that has dropped. Inspect the complete gate and track before replacing one component.
These rollers can support compatible heavy-duty sliding gates, factory entrances, garage gates, garden gates and other steel structures that move on a suitable V-track. They are not intended as universal replacements for every sliding door or cantilever gate system.
Buy heavy-duty sliding gate wheels and rollers from Patsec Security Store at Accra Road, White Angle House, first floor, shop 76, Nairobi. Bring the existing wheel or its measurements so the groove, diameter and mounting arrangement can be checked.
