Before you touch any wire
- Switch the energizer off at its key, tag or keypad. Unplugging it is not enough: the backup battery keeps the fence live.
- Never test a fence by touching it. Use a fence tester.
- Do not open the energizer. Anything inside the unit or on the mains side is a job for a technician.
