What Are Insupipes?
Insupipes are non-conductive plastic tubes that isolate electric fence wire from timber posts and other supports, preventing current leaking to earth. The wire runs through the tube, which is then stapled to the post or fed through a hole drilled in it.
Specifications
- Standard length: 4m (cut to the length you need)
- Inner diameter: 4mm
- Colour: black or white
- Suits 1.6mm and 2.5mm electric fence wire
How to Fit Insupipes
Cut a piece slightly longer than the post is wide, thread the fence wire through it, then staple the tube to the timber post or push it through a prepared hole. The tube keeps the wire off the wood even when it is wet. Insupipes also insulate linking wires between lines on alternating live/earth fences. Pair them with 1.6mm or 2.5mm HT wire.
