Garrett Super Scanner V Price in Kenya

The current price is KSh 8,500. This handheld security metal detector provides automatic tuning, adjustable sensitivity and audible or silent alarms.

What Is the Garrett Super Scanner V?

The Super Scanner V is a handheld detector used for targeted metal screening at entrances and security checkpoints. Its elongated scanning area helps operators sweep people and carried items efficiently.

Garrett Super Scanner V Detection Range

The listing states detection of a medium-sized pistol at approximately 9 inches, a large knife at 6 inches, razor blades and box cutters at 3 inches, and tiny jewellery or foil-wrapped items at 1 inch. Results vary with item size, orientation, sensitivity and nearby interference.

Audible and Silent Alarm Modes

Operators can choose an audible alarm or silent operation. The red light indicates detection, green shows that the unit is on and amber warns of a low battery.

Automatic Tuning and Sensitivity Adjustment

Automatic tuning supports consistent everyday operation. The secure internal sensitivity adjustment lets authorised staff configure performance for the screening environment.

Interference-Elimination Control

The interference control can help when nearby metal structures or electrical equipment cause unstable operation. The detector should still be tested at its actual installation site.

9V Battery and Operating Time

One 9V battery is included, with up to 100 hours of stated normal use. Keep replacement batteries available and test detection before every screening shift.

Where the Super Scanner V Is Used

Typical locations include airports, courts, schools, events, offices, hotels and secure building entrances. Staff should receive training and follow documented privacy and screening procedures.

How to Test a Handheld Metal Detector

Before use, scan a known metal test item at a consistent distance and confirm the expected alarm. Remove the device from service if the response is weak, intermittent or absent.

Other Security Screening Equipment

Compare the Garrett SuperWand with 360° detection, or pair the scanner with a walk-through metal detector for primary screening. For vehicles, see the under-vehicle search mirror.
