What Is a Waterproof Adaptor Box?

A waterproof adaptor box protects electrical and low-voltage cable joints, connectors and small components from dust, splashes and accidental contact when installed correctly.

100 × 100 × 70mm Box Dimensions

The enclosure measures 100mm long, 100mm wide and 70mm deep. Check the dimensions of the connectors, cable bends and internal fittings before purchase.

Uses for CCTV and Security Installations

The box can organise compatible CCTV camera connectors, alarm wiring, access-control joints and other low-voltage terminations. It should not be used beyond its stated electrical or environmental rating.

Outdoor Junction Box Installation

Mount the box on a stable surface with the lid and gasket seated evenly. Cable entries should face downward where practical and use correctly sized waterproof glands.

Maintaining a Watertight Seal

Tighten the supplied lid screws evenly without damaging the enclosure. Unsealed holes, unsuitable glands or a pinched gasket can allow water to enter.

Choosing the Correct Adaptor Box Size

Allow enough internal space for connectors and cable bends without crushing them. Select a larger enclosure when several cables, power adapters or bulky joints must be housed.

Other Adaptor Box Sizes

Compare the smaller 85 × 85 × 50 box, or step up to the 200 × 200 × 80, 255 × 200 × 80 or 300 × 250 × 120 for power supplies. Power several cameras from the 12V 10A CCTV power supply.
