Standard electric fence strainer insulator for anchoring live wire at fence ends and corners while keeping it electrically isolated from the supporting post.

The listed price is KSh 8 per piece. These standard plastic strain insulators are suitable for semi-permanent electric fences and installations with light fence pressure.
A strainer insulator is a strong plastic fitting installed where an electrified fence wire ends or changes direction. It holds the wire under tension while electrically separating the live conductor from the fence post, hook or other support.
The electric fence wire passes around the insulated body and is secured using the correct knot, connector or tensioning hardware. The insulator carries the pulling force at the termination point while its UV-resistant polyethylene body prevents the live wire from making direct contact with the supporting post.
Install a strainer insulator at the end of each live wire run and at corners or strain points where the conductor must be anchored. The post at each point must be strong enough to carry the wire tension. Use appropriate hooks, brackets or stays for the post material and fence design.
This product is an electrical insulator and anchoring point; it does not tighten loose wire by itself. A separate wire strainer or fence tensioner applies and adjusts tension. The strainer insulator, tensioner and mounting hardware work together to keep the wire tight and electrically isolated.
This standard strain insulator is intended for common electric fence wire used in light-duty or semi-permanent installations. It works with suitable fence hooks, brackets, connectors and separate tensioners. Confirm the wire diameter and expected tension before using it on high-strain fencing.
Switch off and isolate the energizer before starting work. Secure the insulator to a stable end or corner post using the correct mounting hardware, pass the fence wire around the insulating body, and attach the wire to the tensioning system. Tighten the conductor evenly without exceeding the capacity of the post or insulator, then test the fence before returning it to service.
The insulator is made from UV-resistant polyethylene plastic for long-term outdoor exposure. Regularly inspect it for cracks, tracking, burn marks or movement, particularly at heavily loaded fence ends and corners, and replace damaged pieces before they cause voltage loss.
Allow one strainer insulator for each live wire at every termination or strain point. A straight fence section with six live wires normally requires six at each end. Corners, gates, separate zones and changes in fence direction may require additional pieces depending on the layout.
