What Is It Used For?
The Stafix digital voltmeter tests both the fence and the energizer’s earth system. Its earth probe gives an accurate fence-to-ground reading, so you can tell whether a weak shock is caused by the fence line or by poor earthing — the most commonly missed fault on farm fences.
Features
- Accurate testing of fence and energizer earth system
- Earth probe for accurate fence-to-ground voltage readings
- Reads from 200V to 9,900V in 100V steps
- Rugged design
- Automatic on/off
- Replaceable 9V battery lasting up to 18 months
Testing Your Earth System
Short the fence to ground about 100m from the energizer, then measure the voltage on the earth rods. A high reading means you need more or better earth rods. Our electric fence troubleshooter walks through other common faults.
