What Is a Compression Spring?
A compression spring sits at the end of an electric fence wire and keeps it tight. As the wire expands in the heat, contracts in the cold or gets knocked, the spring absorbs the movement so the wire does not sag onto other lines or the wall. The Spring 2 has medium (8kg) tension, a step up from the small 5kg spring.
