Description
JVA MB8 Energizer Price in Kenya
The current price of the JVA MB8 Mains/Battery IP Energizer is KSh 75,000 (excluding VAT). It is an 8-joule energizer for long farm, ranch and wildlife-control fences, with Wi-Fi app control built in.
What Is the JVA MB8 IP Energizer?
The MB8 belongs to JVA’s IP Energizer range — energizers that connect to Wi-Fi so you can adjust and monitor them from a smartphone. It delivers 8 joules of output (12 joules stored) and powers up to a recommended 45 kilometres of multi-wire fence. It runs from mains power through an AC plug-pack or from a 12V battery, so it suits sites with or without reliable grid power.
JVA MB8 Features
- 8J output energy (12J stored)
- Powers up to a recommended 45km of multi-wire fence*
- Free IP Energizer Controller (IPEC) and Cloud Router apps for iPhone and Android
- Virtual Keypad in the app: set alarm thresholds, joules, voltage and pulse rate, and connect to Wi-Fi
- Mains (AC plug-pack) or 12V battery operation — battery not included
- Supports a 24V solar battery supply
- Large LCD showing fence voltage, stored energy, battery voltage and Wi-Fi signal
- Audible warning when there is a serious fault on the fence
- Power on demand — ramps up output automatically when the fence is loaded
- Bi-polar or conventional output
- Reverse battery protection
- UV-stable enclosure with O-ring seal against ants and moisture
*Actual fence length depends on wire type, vegetation, earthing and site conditions. Compare energizers by output energy in joules.
Where the MB8 Fits
The MB8 suits large livestock paddocks, game and wildlife fences, and long free-standing perimeters where the fence runs for kilometres and vegetation contact is common. The bi-polar output option helps in dry, poorly conducting soils. For even longer fences, see the 16-joule JVA MB16; for off-grid sites with smaller fences, the JVA SV20 solar energizer comes with its own panel and battery.
Installing the JVA MB8
A high-output energizer needs a strong earth system: several earth rods spaced apart and connected with good-quality cable. Run the fence on 2.5mm galvanized high-tensile wire or aluminium fence wire for low resistance over distance, and protect the unit with a JVA lightning diverter. Keep it within Wi-Fi range if you want app monitoring.
