The current price of the Hammer energizer surge protector is KSh 4,000 (excluding VAT) — a small cost compared with replacing an energizer damaged by a mains surge.

Power surges on the mains supply — from lightning strikes on power lines, grid switching or power returning after a blackout — can damage an energizer’s power supply and circuit board. The Hammer surge stop is fitted on the mains side of the energizer and absorbs these spikes before they reach the unit.

An electric fence can be hit from two directions. This surge protector guards the mains power input. A fence lightning arrestor or lightning diverter guards the fence-line side, diverting strikes on the fence wire into the earth system. For full protection in lightning-prone areas, fit both.

The surge stop is made for Hammer electric fence energizers such as the Hammer EZ 630, EZ 640, EZ 680 and the ACE range. Confirm your model with us before ordering.

The surge protector is easy to install on the energizer’s incoming mains supply. Mains wiring should be done by a qualified electrician or installer, and the energizer earth must be properly connected for surge protection to work.

Buy the Hammer energizer surge protector from Patsec Security Store at Accra Road, White Angle House, first floor, shop 76, Nairobi.
