The current price of the U-Bolt Line Joint Clamp is KSh 65 each (excluding VAT).

A U-bolt clamp joins two conductors on an electric fence and holds them under pressure so current passes through the joint without arcing. Its U-bolt design grips thicker conductors than a standard joint clamp, so it is the clamp to use when connecting polyrope or insulated high-voltage cable to the fence line.

Use U-bolt clamps to connect undergate or lead-out cable to the fence, join polyrope sections, and link lines on farm fences. For joining two high-tensile wires, see the bolt-type line joint clamps or solid-zinc joint clamps.

Switch off the energizer, strip enough insulation from cable to make contact, place both conductors under the U-bolt and tighten the nuts evenly. Recheck joints during maintenance, since loose joints cause voltage loss.

Buy U-bolt line joint clamps from Patsec Security Store at Accra Road, White Angle House, first floor, shop 76, Nairobi.
