The current price of the JVA QT13 is KSh 18,000 (excluding VAT). It combines a 3-joule security energizer, Wi-Fi app control and an 8-zone wireless alarm panel in one compact unit, so a home or small business can run its electric fence and its intruder alarm from the same device.

The QT13 is part of JVA’s QT Premium range. It powers a wall-top or free-standing security fence and monitors it for cuts, shorts and tampering. Instead of a wired keypad, it connects to your Wi-Fi network and is controlled through JVA’s free smartphone app, which works as a virtual keypad. There are no monthly subscription fees for the app.

Most energizers only watch the fence line. The QT13’s 8-zone alarm panel also accepts wireless sensors, so the fence, gate and selected areas of the property report to one device and one app. When the fence is cut or shorted, or a zone is triggered, the siren and strobe outputs sound the alarm and the app shows what happened.

A 3-joule energizer suits typical wall-top fences on homes, apartments and shops, and shorter free-standing perimeters. Larger plots, long free-standing fences or sites with heavy vegetation need more output — compare the JVA Z18 8 joule energizer or the two-zone JVA Z28. To estimate the wire, posts and insulators your fence needs alongside the energizer, use our electric fence cost calculator.

For a complete installation, pair the QT13 with high-tensile fence wire, W posts or insulators, a cut-out switch, a JVA lightning diverter, a good earth system and warning signs. Place the energizer within reach of your Wi-Fi signal so the app stays connected.

Buy the JVA QT13 from Patsec Security Store at Accra Road, White Angle House, first floor, shop 76, Nairobi.
