The current price is KSh 6,000. The TP-Link CPE220 is a 2.4GHz 300Mbps outdoor wireless unit for linking buildings, gates, farms and remote sites without running cable.

A built-in 12dBi 2×2 dual-polarised MIMO antenna focuses the signal in one direction. With clear line of sight, TP-Link states link distances of more than 13km.

TP-Link’s Pharos MAXtream TDMA technology improves throughput, capacity and latency, especially for point-to-multipoint networks.

The CPE220 works as an access point, client, AP router or AP client router (WISP), so it can send or receive a wireless link.

Transmit power is adjustable from 0 to 30dBm to suit the link distance and reduce interference.

The included passive PoE adapter powers the unit over up to 60m of network cable and allows remote reset.

Use two units for a point-to-point link. For area Wi-Fi coverage instead, see the Tenda OAP1200 or TP-Link EAP110 Outdoor.

Buy the TP-Link CPE220 from Patsec Security Store at Accra Road, White Angle House, first floor, shop 76, Nairobi.
