The current sale price is KSh 450, reduced from KSh 500. This normally closed magnetic reed switch detects the opening of a compatible door or window.

A reed switch changes electrical state when its magnet moves away from the sensor, allowing a connected system to detect opening.

The two-part contact connects to a compatible alarm zone and reports when the protected door is opened.

The supplied contact is normally closed by default. Confirm the alarm panel’s required contact type and supervision arrangement.

With the door closed, the magnet sits beside the switch. Opening the door separates both parts and changes the dry-contact output.

The switch provides a dry contact rather than supplying voltage. The connected panel or controller monitors the circuit state.

Mount the sensor on the fixed frame and the magnet on the moving door, keeping both parts correctly aligned when closed.

The contact may also suit compatible windows where both parts can be mounted securely with a consistent closing gap.

A reed switch detects actual opening, while a vibration sensor detects impact before or during a forced entry. They can be used together.

Dry-contact door sensors may connect to compatible controllers for status or switching functions. Never connect an unsupported load directly.

Open and close the door several times and confirm that the connected panel consistently changes state without intermittent alarms.
